Approval of Civil Aircraft Maintenance Organization (CCAR-145R3) training course was held from Mar. 12 to Mar. 16, 2007. The quality mangers from CAAC approved UTC Pratt& Whitney, Hamilton Sundstrand, Chromalloy repair stations attended this training. During the training, CAAC organization structure, Difference between CCAR145R2 and CCAR145R3, details of CCAR145R3, How to fill the forms, Problems existed in foreign repair stations, etc. were introduced. The attendees said that they had learned a lot in this course. Several Main topics such as DER repair, Subcontract, ect. were discussed between CAAC and the attendees. In 2007, CAAC will hold several terms of training, all quality managers from CAAC approved foreign repair stations will get this training.
Background:
Since the initial release in 1988, CCAR Part 145 “Approval of Civil Aircraft Maintenance Organization” has been revised for three times and the English version thereof has also been issued. But for the past eight years, CAAC still found that there some misunderstanding of the regulation occurred, such as some maintenance organizations had performed maintenance works beyond the scope of work approved by CAAC and been punished by CAAC. In order to avoid such situation happened again in the future, also to enhance the communication between CAAC and maintenance organizations and ensure their correct understanding of CCAR-145 requirements, CAAC plans to hold training course on CCAR-145 continuously for the quality managers from foreign maintenance organizations.
